Creating target portal groups
If you want to use multi-connection iSCSI sessions to improve performance and reliability, then you must use target portal groups to define the interfaces available for each iSCSI session.
About this task
You cannot create target portal groups on clusters running Data ONTAP 8.2.
Steps
1.
From the home page, double-click the appropriate storage system.
2.
Expand the Storage Virtual Machines hierarchy in the left navigation pane.
3.
In the navigation pane, select the Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) and click Configuration > Protocols > iSCSI.
4.
In the Target Portal Group tab, click Create.
5.
Type the name of the target portal group and select the numeric tag for the portal group.
If you leave the tag field blank, the system assigns the next available tag value.
6.
Select the interfaces to include in the target portal group and click Create.
